City leaders and the Tulsa's Arts community are celebrating the opening of a new cultural attraction.
A ceremony on Thursday marked the opening of Philbrook Downtown, a satellite center of the renowned museum.
It's across from Guthrie Green on Brady Street.
Nearly 30,000-square feet of an early 1900s industrial warehouse was renovated and will include displays of modern and contemporary art, American Indian art and more.
"Our mission is to put people in contact with exceptional works of art," director Rand Suffold said. "And this gives us another opportunity to do that in a different part of our world and in a slightly different way."
Philbrook Downtown will have free admission for its opening weekend.
It will be open from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
