Delaware County Pickup Crash Kills Two Adults, Toddler

A woman and a 2-year-old boy died in a crash on a rural Delaware County road Tuesday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the 1974 Ford F150 pickup was eastbound on County Road 250 just before 8 p.m. when it left the road and struck a tree.

The driver -- Casey Nelson, 22 -- of Bernice was flown to a Joplin hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

Wednesday night, OHP reported that Nelson died from his injuries at 8:39 p.m.

Troopers say his two passengers -- Kayla Hull, 22, and Kane Hull, 2, both of Grove -- were thrown from the pickup and pronounced dead at the scene.

The OHP's report states Nelson was exceeding the speed limit at the time of the crash.

Troopers say no seat belts or child restraints were in use.
