HUD Offices Nationwide To Have Furlough Days Due To Sequester

As a result of the government-wide spending cuts known as sequestration, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced it will have seven furlough days for its nationwide offices.

As a result of the government-wide spending cuts known as sequestration, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced it will close its nationwide offices next Friday.

The Tulsa and Oklahoma City HUD offices will be among those closed on May 24.

Unless legislators do something to prevent it, the department expects to close an additional six days this year.

The other closures are expected on:

  • June 14
  • July 5
  • July 22
  • August 2
  • August 16
  • August 30
