Tulsa Fire: Candles Blamed For Apartment Fire

The Red Cross is helping two women after a Tulsa apartment fire early Monday.

Tulsa Fire got the call at 1:30 a.m. about a fire at the Bristol Park apartments near 41st and Garnett.

Firefighters said the women had candles burning in a bathroom, catching the shower curtain on fire.

Tulsa Fire said the same apartment was the scene late Tuesday of a minor grease fire in the kitchen. 

One of the women suffered a minor burn to her hand trying to put out the curtain fire. She was treated at the scene by EMSA paramedics.
