A driver was taken to the hospital Monday night after leading state troopers on a high-speed chase.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the pursuit started near Stroud sometime before 10 p.m., and continued onto the Turner Turnpike. The driver exited off I-44 onto West 61st Street and headed east. He jumped out of the vehicle and took off running after hitting a median near 49th West Avenue.
Troopers caught up to the suspect in a McDonald's parking lot, near West 61st Street and 4th West Avenue.
The driver, who troopers say is from Texas, was arrested and transported to a Tulsa hospital to receive medical attention.
OHP is not yet releasing the man's identity. There's no word yet on why he was running.
