Driver Identified In Fatal SUV Crash On Tulsa's Riverside Drive

Tulsa Police are investigating a fiery SUV crash on Riverside Drive which killed the driver.

About 2:45 a.m. Thursday, a Chevrolet Trailblazer struck a large tree on the southeast corner of 36th Place & Riverside Drive and burst into flames, killing the driver, Otis Bernard Doss Jr, 45, of Tulsa.

Officers said they have no idea which way Doss was headed at the time of the crash. The fire initially made it difficult for authorities to determine if the driver was male or female.

The crash forced officers to close Riverside Drive between 31st and 41st Streets, but it was reopened about 7 a.m.
