Wednesday was a solemn day for the men and women who risk their own lives to protect ours.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office held its annual Law Enforcement Memorial service Wednesday.
The joint service honors the more than 50 police officers, deputies, and employees of the sheriff's office, who have died in the line of duty.
"Well, it means a lot to us. It's our brothers and our sisters and this is how we remember them. They may be gone but they are not forgotten," said Sgt. Randy Chapman, of the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.
Tulsa County District Judge and former Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputy James Caputo was the guest speaker.
There will be a statewide service next week.
