Tulsa Police: Man Walking At Apartment Complex Shot In Leg

A man is taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital after a shooting Monday morning in the 200 block of East Independence.

Tulsa Police were called to the Sunset Plaza apartments just after 7:45 a.m.

In the parking lot, officers found the victim with a single gunshot wound to the leg. Police say the wounded man told them someone stepped out from behind an apartment building and shot at him.

Officers believe the shooting was not gang related and that the weapon was a handgun.

The victim is expected to survive his injury, according to police.
