University of Tulsa Head Basketball Coach Danny Manning indicated today that freshman Zeldric King will not return for the 2013-14 season.
"We appreciate Zeldric continuing to stay with our program following the coaching change," Manning said. "Zeldric and I agree that to reach his athletic and academic goals it's in his best interest to continue his basketball career elsewhere. We wish Zeldric nothing but success in the future."
King, a 6'7" forward who was recruited by former TU coach Doug Wojcik, came to Tulsa from Cedar Hill High School in Dallas, Texas. He played in 21 of 33 games, while averaging 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.2 minutes per contest. King missed the final 12 games of the 2012-13 season with a leg injury.
"I enjoyed playing with my teammates and am very thankful that I was given an opportunity at Tulsa," King said. "I look forward to continuing my collegiate career."
