Muskogee Police arrested a man Saturday evening after they said he kidnapped and assaulted a Walgreens store manager during a robbery.

Police got a call about a robbery in progress at the store in the 100 block of North 32nd Street just before 8:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, a store employee said a man entered the store, grabbed the manager, forced her to lock the front door and then forced her into a back room.

Police entered the store as the manager came out of the back room. Police said she told them the man claimed to have explosives and was still in the room. Officers forced the door to back room open and arrested Wesley Dutton, 23.

The manager told police Dutton had also assaulted her.
