State troopers shut down one lane of the Will Rogers Turnpike around Pine Street Friday afternoon, as crews worked to clean up a messy collision.

The crash between a semi and a pickup pulling a 24-foot trailer happened around 3:20 p.m. Friday. The green truck with the trailer was going eastbound on the highway when the semi, hauling metal, tried to merge.

The truck and trailer went across the exit ramp and overturned, the pieces of the trailer scattered. The semi came to stop in the outside lane of the highway, a little further down.

No injuries were reported in the crash, troopers said.

The inside eastbound lane of the turnpike was closed, with traffic moving on the outside lane, while workers cleared up the mess.
