A local group is spreading kindness with green gifts.
The group "Tulsa Pay it Forward" gave out free plants at Guthrie Green in the Brady District on Sunday.
The group meets once a month and everybody chips in $10. Then they decide how they're going to spend it.
Since Earth Day was being celebrated in downtown Tulsa, they decided to join in the fun.
"We just want to green up Tulsa, and just make it very simple - just plant a plant and enjoy the kindness," Sharon Kolker said.
They say they don't fundraiser or plan in advance, and anyone can join.
"I think it's absolutely wonderful," Lisa Reed said. "Mainly I have a garden that I have tilled and it's ready to go, and this is going to be the very first thing to go into my garden."
