The firefighters and first responders who died in the plant explosion in West will be remembered this week.

Officials on Sunday announced a memorial service to be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ferrell Center, on the campus of Baylor University in Waco.

At least 14 people died in Wednesday's explosion at West Fertilizer Co., with 200 more people injured. West Mayor Tommy Muska has said that 10 of the 14 who died were first responders, including one Dallas firefighter who was off-duty but responded to help.

The state fire marshal's office said Sunday that all fires have been extinguished at the explosion scene and the remaining fertilizer tanks are not a danger. Authorities don't know how the fire started yet.
