A newly completed sports complex promises bigger and better things for all of Green Country.
City and economic leaders gathered Tuesday to celebrate the opening of the Mohawk Soccer Complex.
The $6.7 million complex includes 17 soccer fields, locker rooms, playgrounds and more.
While its unlikely to see any soccer tournaments this year, there are big plans for the complex.
"I think that with Kansas City, Dallas, Colorado, St. Louis, we will be able to draw many regional teams, national teams. This going to be a premier facility in the country," said Sid Goodrich, executive director of the Oklahoma Soccer Association.
The complex was paid for by the Vision 2025 sales tax.
