Ambulance Involved In Crash On Will Rogers Turnpike Near Claremore

An ambulance and a semi were involved in a crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Claremore Wednesday morning.

It happened in the westbound lanes of the turnpike just west of the Highway 20 exit.

A trooper told News On 6 the incident began with a single-vehicle wreck.

A car hydroplaned and hit the concrete barrier. The trooper says the Pafford ambulance was turning around in an opening in the barrier to reach the crashed car when it was rear-ended by a semi.

The OHP says there were no injuries.

Traffic in both directions was backed up at the crash scene, but the vehicles have been removed.
