Tulsa Police have released the identity of a man whose body was discovered lying on north Tulsa street late Sunday.
Police say the victim is Lawrence Tennyson, 30, of Tulsa. He was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds about 10:30 p.m., and investigators said they think it was dumped from a moving vehicle near East 28th Street North and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Police say Tennyson served time in prison for a 2009 conviction for unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. He was released in April 2012.
Officers are now trying to find out who Tennyson was with on Sunday before his death.
Investigators say Tennyson may have been seen recently in a silver-colored Dodge Neon. The Neon is described as being around a 2005 model and has tinted windows.
Anyone with information on the murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or text 918TIP to "Crimes."
Police say this is the city of Tulsa's 24th homicide of 2013.
