The first ever Tulsa Fatherhood Festival wants to make sure every boy has a man to look up to. The event, held Saturday and Sunday in Tulsa, helped more than 50 young fathers learn how to be a better role model for their kids.
Seminars and classes covered everything from communications to the basics of being a man.
"Then we had a panel, I mean a seminar, that we called Manhood 101. We taught them how to tie a tie. We gave them their first tie, many of them. We taught them how to do a proper man handshake, look a man in the eye and just how to carry themselves as men," said Damario Solomon-Simmons of the MVP Foundation which sponsored the festival.
