Diamond Cats Move Down To No. 6 In NAIA Top 25

In the first 2013 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the regular season the Rogers State Hillcats moved down one spot coming in at No. 6.

In the first 2013 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the regular season the Rogers State Hillcats moved down one spot coming in at No. 6.

RSU received 449 votes but moved down a spot after being ranked No. 5 in the preseason poll.

Lee (Tenn.) tops the poll moving up from a No. 3 preseason ranking. Sooner Athletic Conference member Oklahoma City received six first place votes matching Lee but received 16 fewer votes putting the Stars in the No. 2 slot. Moving from not receiving votes to No. 3 in the poll is Cal State San Marcos after receiving six first place tallies. Faulkner (Ala.) and The Master's (Calif.) round out the Top 5 slots in the poll.

The SAC led all conferences with five teams in the poll including No. 2 OCU, No. 6 RSU, No. 11 Lubbock Christian, Oklahoma Baptist at No. 14 and USAO coming in at No. 22.

Rogers State (21-7, 6-2) will welcome Mid-America Christian to the Diamond Sports Complex on Thursday, March 28 for doubleheader action, first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
