Police: Dropped Prescription Sends Car Crashing Into Tulsa Restaurant

Police investigated a non-weather-related crash Thursday morning after a 63-year-old driver rams his car into a restaurant at 71st and Lewis.

Police say a driver was hurt when his car hit a restaurant at 71st and Lewis Thursday morning.

Tulsa Police say the driver had just picked up a prescription at a nearby store. As he approached the intersection he dropped it, and when he reached down to pick it up he ran a red light, hit another car then crashed into the Schlotzsky's, according to police. 

EMSA took the first driver, a 63-year-old man, and the second driver, a 37-year-old woman, were both taken to a Tulsa hospital for minor injuries.
