The Tulsa Shock signed forward Tiffany Jackson-Jones to a multi-year contract. Jackson-Jones led the Shock in scoring in 2011 averaging 12.4 points per game and in rebounds grabbing 8.4 per game. In 2011, Jackson-Jones also led Tulsa in minutes played averaging 33.9 per game. Jackson-Jones did not play in the 2012 season as she welcomed her first child.
"I am so excited to get back on the court," Tiffany Jackson-Jones said "Most of all I am happy I get to play here in Tulsa. There's nowhere else I'd rather go. The direction this organization is going is what I want to be a part of."
"We're extremely pleased to be able to sign Tiffany to a multi-year contract," Shock Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg said. "She embodies the kind of player and person that we want to continue to build our team with. She is tough, relentless, and physical on the court and a wonderful role model for the Tulsa community. She is excited to be back in Tulsa with her new family and we are elated to get her back on board."
"In addition to being the Shock's leading scorer in 2011, Tiffany led the team in rebounds and minutes played," Shock President Steve Swetoha said. "Her commitment and loyalty to our organization and her skills on the court certainly warranted a multi-year deal and we can't wait to see her in training camp this May."
The Shock's home opener will be May 27 against the Washington Mystics at the BOK Center.
