Tulsa Police arrested a man they say broke into an ex-girlfriend's apartment and held her at gunpoint. Kanthanou Phengphongsavan is in Tulsa County Jail on an $80,000 bond.
Police were called to an apartment in the 7800 block of South Utica at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday on a domestic disturbance complaint. Officers found damage to the front door frame as if it had been forced.
The woman inside told police her ex-boyfriend Phengphongsavan sent her several threatening text messages then kicked in the door of her apartment. He pushed her against the wall and placed a small, black handgun to her head and mouth, the victim said.
Phengphongsavan reportedly then told his ex-girlfriend that she "deserved" what was coming to her.
A mutual friend came into the apartment and intervened, the arrest report states. Phengphongsavan threatened the witness then left and was later arrested at his apartment, according to the arresting officer.
He was booked on complaints of first degree burglary, domestic assault and battery, and two counts of pointing a deadly weapon.
