Oklahoma Church Bomb Plot Suspect To Be Tried In Federal Court

Ottawa County prosecutors dropped state charges Wednesday against an Illinois man charged with plotting to firebomb dozens of churches in northeast Oklahoma.

Gregory Weiler, II, will now be tried in federal court instead, and he was taken into federal custody.

Investigators say they found bomb-making materials in Weiler's Miami motel room, along with a list of 48 churches and an outline to plant bombs.
