The multi-million dollar project to widen Yale Avenue has been delayed again.

The reason, construction crews ran into some additional problems while working on the project.

It was originally set to be finished last July, but delays have left those orange barrels up well into 2013.

The project called for Yale to be widened from four to six lanes from 61st to 71st. Workers broke ground on the project in January 2012.

The City of Tulsa, Tulsa County and St. Francis Medical Center teamed up to widen the major north-south street with a price tag of a $3.5 million.

Tulsa County footed the bill for manpower and equipment and the City of Tulsa paid for engineering and materials, but then construction crews ran into a problem. Area utilities weren't really where the drawings showed, so engineers had to redesign some things.

Officials tell News On 6 the projected finish date on the project is now sometime in March 2013.
