Freshman Bryce Robinson was named the Conference USA Indoor Male Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
Robinson shattered his own school record in the 60-meter dash at the Frank Sevigne Invitational as the former Edmond Memorial track and field star matched the nation's fastest time of 6.61. That time broke his old school record of 6.73 that he set two weeks prior at the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.
Robinson also broke the school record in the 200-meter dash crossing the line in 21.32. He wrapped up the weekend running on the TU 4x400-meter relay squad that finished fourth in the invitational heat clocking in at 3:15.46.
Robinson also received honorable mention for the USTFCCA National Athlete of the Week honor, the organization announced yesterday.
Robinson and the rest of the Golden Hurricane track and field team will compete in the Tyson Invitational on February 8-9 in Fayetteville, Ark.
