Some Green Country students were treated to a special show Thursday, which was part of an effort to stop bullying in schools.

A member of the Harlem Globetrotters stopped by Eugene Field Elementary, and was joined by Mayor Dewey Bartlett.

Mayor Bartlett didn't show off his basketball skills, but did declare Thursday, January 31, "Bullying Prevention Day," in Tulsa.

The Globetrotters have been touring schools for years, but say they just recently shifted the focus of their program.

"We kind of changed up our program, that we go to schools into a bullying program, and yeah it's definitely something that needs to be taken seriously, and we just want to deliver that message," said Globetrotter Flight Time Lang.

The Globetrotters will be performing downtown at the BOK center on February 8.
