Escapee From Jess Dunn Correctional Center Recaptured

An inmate from Tulsa is back behind bars after escaping from the Jess Dunn Correctional Facility in Taft on Saturday.

The prison says Dave O'Malley, 40, was recaptured near Haskell Sunday evening. O'Malley walked away from the facility at about 8:30 p.m., according to Lt. George Brown with the Oklahoma HIghway Patrol.

O'Malley has first degree burglary and robbery convictions out of Tulsa County.

He wasn't scheduled for release from prison until 2022.
