A Tulsa Police chase wound through city neighborhoods early Thursday before officers were able to use "stop sticks" to end the pursuit.

Police say two men were inside the car when the chase started near 31st Street and 129th East Avenue at about midnight.

Speeds during the chase reach 85 mph, according to police.

TPD's helicopter tracked the car to the 4100 block of Elgin where officers placed "stop sticks" on the road and flattened the car's tires.

The two men, Jeremy Holmes, 32, and Matthew Love, 22, got out and ran but didn't get too far thanks to the helicopter.

Both were arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail. Holmes was booked on a complaints of eluding, speeding, failure to yield to a stop sign, driving left of center and driving with a suspended license and Love was booked on complaints of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

During the chase, officers saw the men throwing items from the car. Police say a search turned up cell phones wrapped in plastic baggies and items that may have been a mobile meth lab.
