A Green Country contractor pleaded guilty to 13 counts of fraud Wednesday.

The Oklahoma Attorney General's office says Jason Priest, 36, would start projects and run off with his customers' money before the jobs were finished.

Priest is the owner of JMP Buildings and Muskogee Barn Company. He allegedly signed contracts agreeing to build barns or outbuildings for people in Lincoln, Caddo, Canadian, Pottawatomie, Hughes, Pawnee, Oklahoma, Tulsa, Wagoner, Garfield, Payne and Creek counties between October 2009 and June 2011.

The courts say he ripped off clients in 12 counties across the state.

He'll spend two years in prison, and was ordered to pay back the money he pocketed, which amounts to more than $82,000.
