Driver Killed In Rollover Crash In Norman

One person was killed following an rollover crash in Norman early Saturday morning.

According to Norman police, emergency crews responded to the crash at 2:42 a.m. Saturday on Tecumseh Road, east of 12th Avenue NE. A 2009 Hyundai passenger car was eastbound on Tecumseh Rd. when it ran off the roadway for an unknown reason, and rolled over.

The unrestrained driver was thrown out of the vehicle during the collision, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision and no one else was injured.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Police have not released the identity of the driver pending notifications of family.

Several agencies, including the Norman police and fire departments and EMSA, responded to the crash.
