Tulsa's VFW Post awarded two Tulsa Police officers Thursday night, as the "Officers of the Year."
Sgt. Virgil Litterell and Ofc. Joe Walton received the honor after going above and beyond for a car burglary victim.
Thieves broke into a victim's truck and took a number of things, including an old coffee thermos, which had been given to the victim by his brother, who had since died.
The officers caught the suspects, found the thermos, and returned it to the victim.
"Knowing how difficult it is to lose something that means so much to people, I certainly don't feel that I did anything that anyone else on the department wouldn't," Walton said.
Many of the duo's fellow officers were on hand Thursday night to see them receive the award.
