Former Presidential contender and Texas Governor Rick Perry told reporters Wednesday that prayer, not stricter gun laws, is the most powerful weapon to fight gun violence.
Tulsans from different churches and different faiths came together Thursday afternoon to address ways to curb gun violence.
"We are called, as people of faith, to love one another and to love our neighbors and to talk about how we can better love each other, and make a difference in a contributing way that is constructive, rather than destructive," said Ray Hickman, of Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry.
Pastors and church leaders were joined by Tulsa's top prosecutor, District Attorney Tim Harris, and Deputy Police Chief Dennis Larsen.
