Some of Oklahoma's Own are heading to Washington to represent our state in the Presidential Inauguration Parade.

Union's Jr. Air Force ROTC was the only high school unit in the entire country selected to participate in the event.

As of Thursday morning, they were still $8,000 short, but they got an anonymous donation, which covered the cost of food, lodging, and travel expenses.

Since winter break, when they found out they were selected, they've been working to raise $40,000.

They were to begin loading up to head for Washington Thursday evening. You can see them march at the Inaugural parade on News On 6, Monday, January 21.
