A 12-inch water line break has been contained in South Tulsa, but crews could be working all day on repairs, the City of Tulsa said in a news release on Saturday.
The break, at the intersection of Mingo Road and 41st Street, was contained about 10:30 a.m.
No customers are without water service, city officials said.
Northbound lanes on Mingo are open, however, traffic signals are impacted. Crews are working to reopen all lanes of traffic once traffic control has been established, expected by noon.
There is no damage to the road surface.
Officials said work will continue in shifts until the water line break is repaired, which could take 12 hours or more.
