There were new developments Monday in the civil lawsuit filed against Tulsa's Victory Christian Center.

A Tulsa County district court judge denied the church's motion to dismiss the lawsuit, which was filed by the mother of a 13-year-old rape victim.

The lawsuit claims Victory Christian Center's delay in reporting the crime inflicted emotional distress on the teen.

The girl's mother is seeking $75,000 in damages.

Chris Denman admitted to raping the girl in a church stairwell. The ex-janitor was sentenced to 55 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple sex charges.
