Waurika Man Arrested For Sexting Former Foster Daughter

A Waurika man who served as a reserve officer has been charged with sexting a 15-year-old girl he once fostered.

A 42-year-old Waurika man was arrested for sexting a teenager who was his former foster daughter, according to a release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Lawton Police called in the OSBI to look into an allegation of inappropriate texting by Robert Gutierrez Jr. Gutierrez, who served as a reserve officer for the city of Ryan, turned himself in at the Jefferson County Jail.

The 15-year-old girl's current foster parent alerted Lawton police to the sexting, according to a news release.

Gutierrez served as the girl's foster parent several months before the explicit texting.

He is charged with engaging in sexual communication with a minor by use of technology. His bond was set at $20,000.
