Tulsa Police delivered Christmas boxes of presents to families in need Wednesday.
Officers at the Riverside division in southwest Tulsa collected toys for children who may have otherwise had a slim Christmas this year.
"Officers who work throughout this community might recognize a family and know that they're going through hard times, at one point in time, and recognize they fell on hardship. And they might select a family [or] other people in the community that see people struggling might select a family," said Officer Tyrone Jenkins.
The gifts come from community donations.
Officers collected enough to brighten the holiday for 50 families.
