Some young Oklahoma swimmers are making sure other Green Country kids have a great Christmas. The halls at Miller Swim School are lined with bags of gifts for 76 children in one of the poorest communities in the state.
A social worker gave the school a list of items the children needed and the school challenged swimmers and their families to fill the pool with the items needed.
And they did!
The school says there are enough clothes, toys and food to nearly fill the school's larger swimming pool.
"It really is overwhelming and it makes you realize that people do care. When they see someone really in need, they are willing to help," said Rita Miller, Miller Swim School.
Several other businesses and churches are also donating items. We're not identifying the community where the gifts are going because the school wants to surprise everyone there this weekend.
