Tulsa Police officers had to chase down a robbery suspect Wednesday evening.

Officers were sent to the Fiesta Mart at 65th and Sheridan at about 8 p.m. after a report that a man had attempted to rob the store.

Tulsa Police spotted the suspect -- later identified as Courtney Fletcher, 36 -- at the Save A Lot grocery store nearby.

Police say Fletcher ran as officers walked up to him, but they caught him a few blocks away.

Tulsa Police say witnesses also connected Fletcher to a robbery at the Kung Fu Kitchen in the 8700 block of East 21st.

Courtney Fletcher was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon, robbery by force and fear, assault and battery on an officer and obstructing an officer.
