Tulsa's economy could get a shot in the arm thanks to a new partnership between the city and Hart Energy.
Houston-based Hart specializes in energy news and will hold conferences in Tulsa about unconventional ways to develop natural gas fields.
Those conferences are expected to bring in energy leaders from around the country, allowing them to discuss the future of energy production in Oklahoma and Kansas.
"Conferences such as this increase awareness of our region's premier facilities," said Ray Hoyt, of VisitTulsa. "As a result, our region's presence as a destination for tourism and travels across the nation grows, in turn."
The first conference will be held next April and is expected to bring in more than 400 vendors.
