Man Injured, Woman In Custody After Tulsa Shooting

Tulsa Police responded to what one officer called a "domestic altercation" at 10:18 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of East Newton Place.

Corporal John Williams said when officers arrived, people were standing outside and the shooting victim was inside the home.

"We do have an individual in custody, but the investigation is still ongoing," Williams said.

Police were questioning a woman in connection to the shooting. The male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police. The man was shot in the stomach in what the woman claims was self defense, KRMG reports.

Neighbors say there is a history of disputes at the home.
