Nearly 400 families in Creek County saw their homes burn to the ground over the summer because of a massive wildfire.
The Red Cross was vital during that time, helping folks get food, water, shelter, and later providing them with the tools they needed to pick up the pieces that were left behind.
But there is still a lot of work that needs to be done, so today State Farm presented the Western Oklahoma Red Cross with $10,000 to help with wildfire relief.
"It's what we do," State Farm Agent Steve Lane said. "When times are toughest for, that's where we get to help out. It's such a devastating event. It was something if you haven't been though there, you can't really understand the way it really impacted people's lives."
