The Red Cross was vital during that time, helping folks get food, water, shelter, and later providing them with the tools they needed to pick up the pieces that were left behind.

But there is still a lot of work that needs to be done, so today State Farm presented the Western Oklahoma Red Cross with $10,000 to help with wildfire relief.

"It's what we do," State Farm Agent Steve Lane said. "When times are toughest for, that's where we get to help out. It's such a devastating event. It was something if you haven't been though there, you can't really understand the way it really impacted people's lives."

Creek County investigators believe the fire started when Billy Cloud dropped a cigarette outside his home near Mannford.

Cloud has a warrant out for his arrest, but he has still not been found.
