Fairland Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Near Afton

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a 41-year-old man died when his motorcycle failed to make a curve near Afton early Saturday.

An Oklahoma man died after being ejected from his motorcycle early Saturday morning near Afton in Ottawa County. Highway Patrol troopers report that Jack Caldwell Judd of Fairland died at the scene of the crash.

Judd was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson southbound on U.S. Highway 59 just before 3 a.m. when he failed to make a curve. Judd, 41, was thrown from the motorcycle about 100 feet, according to the trooper's report.

The cause of the collision is under investigation as is the condition of the driver at the time of the wreck.

Judd was not wearing a helmet, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. His body was taken to a local funeral home until it could be transported to the Medical Examiner's Office.
