A McAlester man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl he reportedly met on Facebook.
According to an affidavit filed with Pittsburg County court, the victim told Krebs Police she contacted Jeremy Husman about "hanging out."
During a meeting with Husman at Deerinwater Park in Krebs, the two had sex, according to the affidavit.
The victim state in the affidavit that "she kissed Husman first and then later asked him if he wanted to have sex." The affidavit goes on to say that afterwards she told Husman she was 13, going on 14 and he became upset because he thought she was 17, going on 18.
Krebs Police say the girl's Facebook page showed the girl's age as 14.
The girl's foster mother contacted police about the incident.
The affidavit says Husman, 26, confessed to having sex with the girl, but said he thought she was 19.
He is charged with first-degree rape with a victim under the age of 14 and is in the Pittsburg County jail on a $35,000 bond.
