The Tulsa volleyball squad won its sixth straight match as it defeated Tulane 3-2 (23-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-14, 15-7) on Thursday, November 1, at the Hertz Center.
The Golden Hurricane (19-8, 12-1 Conference USA) hit .143 (60-31-203) while holding the Green Wave (5-19, 3-10 C-USA) to a .078 (52-37-192) clip. Both teams tallied 14 blocks, a season high for Tulsa.
"Tulane played very well the first three sets," commented Head Coach Steven McRoberts. "We stayed aggressive and momentum started to go our way in the fourth and fifth sets."
Senior outside hitter Tyler Henderson picked up 18 kills to lead Tulsa. She also recorded two service aces and four blocks in the match.
The Golden Hurricane will end its road swing on Sunday, November 4, against UTEP. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
