Pretty Water Lake In Sapulpa Stocked With 700 Pounds Of Trout

Wednesday afternoon, he was out in Sapulpa, as Pretty Water Lake trucked in 700 pounds of trout, ahead of the opening of fishing season on Saturday.

"The biggest one that I know of is around eight pounds. Haven't seen any bigger than that. I've heard stories, but you know fishing stories," said Tom Chandler, the lake's caretaker.

Pretty Water Lake is hosting a fishing derby Saturday, starting at 8 a.m., with prizes given away every hour for the biggest trout caught.

The city plans to re-stock the lake twice a month.
