Allison Hall, a defender on the Oral Roberts women's soccer team, was named Southland Conference defensive player of the week.
Hall scored the game-winning goal on Friday in double-overtime, lifting her team to a 2-1 victory at Central Arkansas. She was also honored on Monday by College Sports Madness as their Southland player of the week.
It is the second time this season Hall has received the defensive award from the conference, earning the honor on Sept. 18, along with teammate Helen Erb who picked up the goalkeeper honor.
A native of Tulsa, Hall is considered one the conference's top defenders, playing on a backline that has helped the Golden Eagles to the program's most wins under head coach Ryan Bush. She has also netted three goals and has recorded an assist.
Hall and the Golden Eagles enter the Southland Conference tournament as the fourth seed on Thursday, taking on Sam Houston State at 4:30 p.m. in Lake Charles, La. The winner of that matchup will move on to face regular season champions Stephen F. Austin at the same time on Friday.
