A 74-year-old Arkansas man is dead in a rollover wreck outside Locust Grove. Troopers say the single-car accident took place at 6:23 p.m. on U.S. Highway 412 about four miles west of Locust Grove in Mayes County.

Donald N. Eastep Sr. of Harrison was eastbound on 412 in a 1988 Mercedes-Benz when the car ran off the road to the right. The Mercedes hit an embankment and flipped two times, the collision report states.

Eastep, who was thrown through the sunroof, landed 31 feet from the car, according to the OHP. He was pronounced dead of massive injuries at Mayes County Medical Center in Pryor.

Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt. The collision report lists unsafe speed on a curve as the cause of the wreck.
