Tulsa Public Schools is reminding parents that this Friday, October 26th is an "early release Friday." Students will be released from their schools approximately two hours early.
Release times vary by school, and can be found on the "My Child's School" page under "Parents" on the TPS website.
Students will be served lunch prior to release and buses will run generally two hours earlier than the regularly-scheduled time.
Tulsa Public Schools says parents are responsible for their own child care arrangements and after-school child care programs will still be available for those students who are already enrolled in them.
The school district says early release Fridays will enable teachers, staff and administrators to have additional time to engage in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), where effective teaching methods and techniques can be studied and shared.
The dates for early release for the remainder of the 2012-13 school year are as follows:

School start times remain unchanged on these days.
*CLC schools are on intercession during the October and March early release days and thus have different dates scheduled for those months.
CLC schools include Chouteau, Eugene Field, Gilcrease, Kendall-Whittier, Mark Twain and Marshall elementaries.
