Some Tulsa elementary school students learned how to make their community a better place Tuesday.

Kids from Eliot's Social Responsibility Club toured the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

The kids are getting ready to start a canned food drive benefiting the food bank, so the school wanted them to know what would happen to all the cans they donate.

"We're trying to get the kids to take action and to make an impact. And getting out here to see that adults do it, it gives them, you know, an idea of how it's done," said Emily Brown, from Eliot Elementary

The Social Responsibility Club is all about teaching children, at an early age, how they can get involved in the community.
