TPD Demotes Captain Shawn King To Officer

Tulsa Police Captain Shawn King has been demoted to rank of officer. He remains on suspension, after his ex-girlfriend Keena Roberts publicly accused him of inappropriate behavior on the job.

The accusations came after Roberts uncovered pictures on his laptop that he and a previous girlfriend had shared two years earlier. That previous girlfriend, Christy Kellerhals, is a Tulsa police officer. Both King and the she deny any photos were taken during work hours or on the job.

When Roberts took his computer to TPD, they refused to look at it, citing it would violate the computer crimes act. She then to it to the FBI and they too declined to examine it. She then took the photos and computer to This Land Press who published an article.

She then accused King of molesting her daughter, and after the Osage county deputies investigated, no charges have been filed. Roberts also accused him of having child pornography on his computer, but sources tell us, the OSBI found none.

Christy Kellerhals has filed suit against This Land Press, saying the information used in the article was illegally obtained and had no legitimate public value. She is asking for more than $75,000 in damages for emotional distress, loss of reputation and pain and suffering.

The lawsuit also asks for more than $500,000 in punitive damages.
